Scholarly Collectives
Funding for Scholarly Collectives
Do you want to organize a group to read emerging scholarship or workshop your in-progress writing?
This year the Kaplan Institute is setting aside some funds to support continuing small-scale collaborations such as reading groups, translation salons, and writing workshops. Collectives of four or more faculty, or faculty and graduate students, who seek to meet periodically throughout the year may request funds of up to $1,000 to support the purchase of books, materials, and refreshments.
To apply for funds
Requests are considered on a rolling basis until funding is exhausted, so we encourage you to organize early! Please email hum.director@northwestern.edu with a brief description of your group’s plan, a list of participants, and a projected budget.
