Artist Engagement Initiative
The Kaplan Humanities Institute Artist Engagement Initiative seeks to expand interdisciplinary engagement among artists, faculty, and students across all programs and departments at Northwestern.
Building upon Kaplan’s longstanding support of arts programming at the university, this initiative will host one Artist in Residence each year and offer select grants to invite artists for co-curricular activities. Applications to the Kaplan Humanities Council are welcome from any unit at Northwestern, and for artists working in any medium or discipline.
- For co-curricular grants: Faculty can apply throughout the year for funding to support engagement with artists in or beyond undergraduate or graduate classrooms.
- For Artist in Residence: Submission guidelines for the next round of Kaplan's artist residency program will be announced in Winter 2025.
